What do I do if I have a scheduling conflict?

We know life is busy, and unexpected things pop up all the time. Here are some common cases and what do do:

I am no longer able to mentor for a session → Notify your CodeDay Staff Contact (as listed in your CodeDay Labs Mentor Dashboard) ASAP. We will find a new mentor for your interns.

**I will be unavailable for a small period of time (≤ 1wk) during a session → Work this out with your Interns, and see what they’re comfortable with.

If needed, CodeDay staff can assign a temporary mentor for just that week.

Interns are also able to schedule a CSE session to have a pseudo mentor meeting.

I will be unavailable for a large period of time (≥ 1wk) during a session → Notify your CodeDay Staff Contact and we will assign a temporary mentor for the period you are gone.

Please note this only applies to sessions that are not a microinternship. If you will be gone for more than one week of a microinternship, please follow the instructions listed in “I am no longer able to mentor for a session”

Something not covered here → Talk to your CodeDay Staff Contact and we’ll work together to figure something out!
